“Then listen carefully,” Emily got off her stool, walked two steps to stand directly in front of Andy, forcing her to turn away from the bar table. She put her arms on the table top, forming a cage of sorts that has Andy trapped.
“I will be your date to the wedding,” she said, her voice dropping to a lower register, lifting a hand to brush a lock of Andy’s hair away from her face.

Andy Sachs has to attend Nate Cooper's wedding, and unfortunately for her she has to bring a date to said wedding. She doesn’t have anyone to bring as her date for the weekend until she met up with Emily Charlton for a girls night out at a bar… let’s just say it's easy to act like you’re in love when you are already in love with that person (it’s also a mildly torturous experience for the person she asked).
