Flavors of obliviousness!!! Its explores it in such differing perspectives I LOVE
1: tart
2: floral, lavender (calm to some, almost sweet, allergens to spiders, underlying bitter aftertaste)
3: bitter and savory -

Summary
“Knock Knock.”
Ryland’s gaze was ripped away from the paper planets strung on his ceiling as the woman’s voice echoed through the otherwise empty classroom, sending a sudden chill down his spine. Stratt? He met her eyes from across his desk as she approached with that air of confidence she always had, so sure of herself and her decisions. She had brought with her a small satchel, one that Ryland knew instantly contained a copy of his research paper.
...How did he know that?

Summary
Ryland Grace is not going to be one of those *crazy* time travellers. He has more sense than that. He can totally fix things and get back home and nobody will ever be the wiser. The Acting thrum would be so proud of how well he is pulling this off right now.
or
Ryland Grace is a time traveller. He's also the world's smartest idiot. The rest of the team on the Vat is totally gonna let him fix things, but honestly, how stupid does he think they are?

Summary
Despite what the motorcade and federal agents might suggest to everyone else in the parking lot of Grover Cleveland Middle School, a school building during pickup time is not an unusual place to find Eva Stratt.
OR
Project Hail Mary except Eva Stratt is a single mom (by choice!) and still has to make every difficult decision she makes in the original story. Canon compliant Strattland-pilled retelling of PHM. Possibly inherently out of character. Just an idea I had and couldn't get out of my head!

Ch11
The problem wasn’t Ryland. He was a good man. Everyone knew that. Emma was obviously attached in some capacity already. And that was exactly why she couldn’t justify pursuing whatever it is they could be. Something would go wrong. Or she would do something to push him away like she always does. He’d try to work through it at first, before realizing she can't be fixed, that the only person she’s managed to love freely is her daughter, and he’d grow to resent her. And that would be fine if it was just her, because she’d lived through it all before and would survive it if it happened again. But even good men can act out when hurt. Eventually that resentment could transfer to Emma, and she doesn’t think she could live through that. She can justify a lot of things. The possibility of hurting her daughter is not one of them.
She hopes she never sees the day where she might have to anyway.
