Sandrone marches down the length of the table, inspecting the layout with an unimpressed sneer on her face. She stops in front of her own seat, the one next to Columbina’s, and points with a frown.
“All those tea parties I invited you to and you can’t even plate your desserts properly. Look at them, all piled together in one sad lump. And don’t even get me started on how you arranged your tea cups.” A hand is waved, mocking and prideful, at the pitiful display. “They don't even line up with the rest of the table. Where’s the symmetry? The perfectly perpendicular angularity? It’s a travesty!”

“Welcome to Fatui House.” Sandrone raises her mug in mock salute and sneers. “It’s a crap hole here.”
Rosalyne lets out another annoyed noise but the new girl doesn’t really react. She just tilts her head to the side as she continues to pet the border collie in her lap. “Is that so? It’s a really nice crap hole if that’s the case.”
The sneer on Sandrone’s face melts into a scowl. Oooookay. So not just a weird name, but a weirdo in general. Greeeaaat, just what the dorms needed. And she still hasn’t taken off those stupid sunglasses of hers, despite being indoors, in the dead of night. For some reason, that annoys Sandrone more than anything else. What is her deal? Seriously. Is it some sort of hipster thing to just wear your shades at all times now or–
Oh.
The sunglasses. The dog. The off-center staring. It all comes together in Sandrone’s mind. With a start, it suddenly hits her.
She’s blind.

The Knave has no stake in the former Archon’s choices. Regardless of what happens, the outcome, whether it may be good or ill, will not affect her. But still… to erase a life, to destroy the very essence of a person and let another one usurp their place… It feels damning, sacrilegious even. A mockery to all that was sacrificed.
So she asks, one last time, even though she knows the answer. One final attempt, to save a soul beyond saving.
The former Archon stares back at her with eyes that have long since given up on hope.
“What have I got left to lose?”

Yelena hums. Yeah, she was expecting that. The blanket fort really gave it away. “Yooooou maybe wanna talk about it?”
A pause. Bob shakes his head, curls bouncing with the motion. Oof. Non-verbal. Today must’ve been really, really bad then.
Yelena thinks about it for a second. Then, she shrugs.
“Okay. Then we don’t talk.”

There it was.
The HOA Lawn of the Month sign stood proudly in a patch of deep green across the street. The angle of the setting sun glinted off the gold lettering, just enough to make Keqing’s eye twitch.
Her thoughts moved in fragments.
Did they deliver it to the wrong address? Did someone move it? Did someone think this was a joke?
No. That couldn’t be.
The garden across the street did not belong to a prankster. It belonged to someone named Ganyu.
Keqing had seen her before—soft-spoken, often coming and going in the early mornings. Kept to herself. Liked oversized sweaters. Wore gardening gloves like they were part of her skin. Polite enough, with the kind of voice that made you slow down without realizing you had. Keqing had categorized her as “mild” and “nonthreatening.”
Apparently, that had been a miscalculation.
Or, Keqing loses her streak of winning the HOA Lawn of the Month award. She then realizes who her real enemy is.
