Wednesday.
She didn't know much, but this... word... rang out in her head. It was the name that sprang to mind when she saw the dark figure approaching her—dark coat, twin braids, fierce eyes. Wednesday.
The girl—Wednesday—spotted her, and her face broke into undisguised relief. "Enid..."
And she felt her mouth move of its own accord, stretching out vocal cords that were scratchy from disuse, simply to voice out one question.
"Who's... Enid..?"

Tikki sighed, munching on her cookie. "The Addams family has been steeped in positive energy for centuries! Believe it or not, you would be the best holder for the Ladybug Miraculous in over a hundred years."
Wednesday just eyed her sleeping werewolf roommate, currently wearing her brightly colored pajamas. "Are you absolutely certain that there is no other choice?"
A black-clad figure landed beside her, flashing her a cheery grin. "Howdy, partner!" she greeted, waving enthusiastically. "You should be more careful, you know?"
Wednesday—Misfortune—stared blankly at her before putting her head in her hands.
"Enid, please tell me this is just a new Poe Cup costume and not the Cat Miraculous."

Summary
Enid Sinclair died in her arms.
Months of suspecting her as the Hyde, of harboring deep resentment towards her for attacking those close to her, but Wednesday Addams had been wrong.
Despite everything, Enid ran, fighting the Hyde to save Wednesday, and it cost Enid her life.
Remorse did not even begin to describe the turmoil in Wednesday's gut.

Summary
Enid didn't need an occasion to give gifts to Wednesday. Her hands made something and she wouldn't hesitate to deliver them to her posthaste.
But this weekend was different. It would be six months since Wednesday came over to San Francisco, and six months since they carved a path through life together. Enid couldn't just give her another snood and call it done, not at all!
This gift needed to be special. More than that, it needed to be perfect.
Wednesday did not understand the reverence her peers held for certain days of the year. It was just going to be another Saturday. The world would turn regardless of their ideas of 'anniversaries' and 'birthdays'.
But she knew Enid would be happy if she indulged her. Should there be anything Enid wanted, Wednesday would move heaven and earth to provide it to her. All the while, she found the feelings that brewed within her to be irritating, suffocating, yet so very intoxicating.
If she were to survive the weekend, Wednesday must push past her notions of comfort and find a way to weather the storm.

Not Kitten Around, Badylug - miraculouslycool
This fic has set a high bar for me with chatfics. It's great because it's just the two of them! You can feel what's happening off the phone. You know the baggage they're carrying especially when paired with the events of the show. They're so well-written, and the heartbreaking portions in the middle too, and the way they developed their texting traditions and their inside jokes... I genuinely love this fic. I actually, no joke, have combed through my AO3 history looking for this fic twice and I'm so glad I get to bookmark it now. Wonderful story!

Summary
After Ladybug admits to Chat Noir that she told someone her identity, she insists that he do the same. He wants it to be her. She insists it has to be anyone else. He suggests they use the snake. She finds this to be a reasonable compromise.
After many heartfelt five minute conversations that Ladybug doesn't remember, she decides he should keep the snake. That way he can always confide in her if he needs to. He also realizes it means he can talk to anyone… for five minutes... on repeat.
Contains many Season 4 Spoilers.

The Five Minute Adventures of Snake Noir - Kasienda
Snake Miraculous. Time Loops. Secrets and angst. Oh, what a combination. I keep rereading this fic because it's got all the story elements I love, because it's a great character exploration of Adrien and his relationship with the people around him, and because it's so well-written! It really conveys how, even if Adrien had all the time in the world, there's still things that can't be solved by this. He gets to experience Ladybug's need to keep secrets. He gets to abuse his Miraculous, then to recognize that he's abusing it and take steps away from it. He wants to be free, but until the masks can be down completely, until he lives under his father's thumb, Adrien is still chained down, Snake or Cat or both or none at all.
One of my absolute favorite stories.

Chat Noir's a bit hard to read. His thoughts, his feelings, it's all out of reach for anyone that isn't Ladybug. Even she doesn't seem to completely understand him.

Perspective - BaslessRapier
My gods, i keep coming back to this series. I keep hoping it gets another entry, but as it is, it's a beautiful deconstruction of how Chat Noir is seen by various people—his teammates, his kwami, his partner, his friends! I love how it's like... yes, Chat Noir is silly and goofy around Ladybug, but to the people he distrusts, the people he's only acquainted with... he can be intimidating, but not harsh. He could be mysterious despite having the demeanor of an open book. You, as the reader, can recognize the struggles he has as Adrien through these POVs, but these issues remain so out of reach for our POV characters. Wonderful series, I love them, I'm totally writing separate bookmark notes for the ones I liked most.
