Summary
He wonders if he has a life beyond today. He wonders if he has time to erase the chalk plans in his home before abandoning it forever. He wonders if he was the one who looked into the mirror, or the one who stepped out of it.
— Essek and the Nein succeed in defeating the Somnovem, but their return to the Material Plane is a backwards trip out of Aeor. He is haunted by his memories, his guilt, the monsters around every corner, the threat of Trent Ikithon — and a shadow in his periphery that looks remarkably like himself. For Essek Thelyss, love and annihilation go hand-in-hand, until he learns otherwise.

“In the Dynasty, There are many, ah... stages. Things are drawn out and it’s generally a terribly public affair. It is why I am not very well practiced in being, what is the word in common— Being the primary— the one to initiate and court the secondary. I am, unfortunately, very well aware of all its stages, however.” An eye roll piques Caleb’s attention.

Summary
To whom it may concern,
This letter is to verify that the attached correspondence, documents, and various memorabilia once belonged to a mage named Laerryn Coramar-Seelie, Architect Arcane of Avalir. These were found in a box sealed by arcane means and date back to the pre-Calamity era. My deceased husband, Professor Caleb Widogast of the Soltryce Academy, unearthed the box during an exploration trip to Aeor in 837 PD. Through our research, we have found these to be authentic.
I am at your service for any other information you may require.
Regards,
E. Widogast[A transcription with commentary on various mementos and letters belonging to one Laerryn Coramar-Seelie, found in a carved box (bronze and gold inlaid with amethysts, 14 inches high x 18 inches long x 16 inches wide). Originally discovered in the ruins of Aeor in 837 PD by C. Widogast and E. Widogast. Acquired by the Cobalt Soul. ]

Frumpkin's foolish human thought he could get rid of him that easily? Clearly he's never met a cat before.
