    No one's surprised when Pepper suggests an alternative to the Sokovian accords before the councilman can even propose the idea. It’s Pepper after all. Of course, she waits until the councilman leaves before dropping the real bomb. The public needs to see a deliberate, personal movement. They need to see the lives of the Avengers be affected by the losses they leave.
    When Peter Parker gets a call from his social worker, he just knows he's being kicked out of yet another foster home. When he burst into her office to see the Avengers waiting to adopt him, he’s sure that it was their way of inviting Spiderman to join the team. Luckily the Avenger’s like to discuss vigilantes over breakfast. A small tingle of non-spidey-sense-related nerves flutter in his stomach when Tony complains about the lack of cameras in Queens, but it isn’t until the heroes start suggesting possible people or personalities for the man behind the spider mask that he realizes he has no clue what’s going on.

    “Peter, is it supposed to be doing that?” One of his students asked him. He looked up to see the industrial-strength magnets he’d collected for this lab trying to crack through the glass between them to be reunited. The glass splintered.

    “Yeah, no. That’s totally fine,” he lied. Then he inconspicuously chased everyone to the corner of the lab, donned a glove, and smashed the glass so that it wouldn’t splinter and stab someone in the eye in its explosion.

    His students cheered.

    He needed a drink.

    (Peter gets called back to the city at the age of 25 to help mitigate the rapidly increasing crime rate. He's in way over his head, so he sets out to re-establish Team Red.)

    “It’s a toy,” he said as the fucking rat-Cerberus in his arms squirmed.
    Steph did not scream. She was too cold and terrified inside to scream.
    “It’s a toy,” she whimpered.
    Mr. Parker nodded to her and then hurried off out of sight.

    (Intern Steph came to Stark Industries to keep her head down and her expectations low. She gets put under Mr. Parker's supervision and that shit goes right out the window.)

    Weapons drops across the city have been accompanied by mysterious murders done by someone who doesn't care if they live or die. Daredevil investigates as best he can but soon enough Spider-Man is after him for stepping into his turf and just when Matt finds the guy responsible for it all, he dies.

    Only to show up again a week later, perfectly alive and incredibly annoying.
