“But you did not follow her wishes with Edwina?”
“I did not, truth be told I had forgotten I had even promised to do so until she stamped her foot at me in displeasure,” Anthony huffed and Kate had grinned at how much he cared about his youngest sister’s wishes.
“I see, and is she a formidable gatekeeper?” Kate could not help but ask, recalling the way Anthony had referred to her during his pursuit of Edwina.
“Even more so that you were to Edwina I should imagine.”
“Then I shall quiver at her mercy,” Kate replied, grinning at the image of tiny Hyacinth Bridgerton guarding a tower with Anthony leaning out of the window as if a damsel.
