Summary
When Scar packed up and left behind everything he ever knew, including any friends and his brother, he knew it would be hard - probably one of the hardest things he's ever done. But he can cope with the loneliness and crippling self doubt - it's the actions and behaviour of his coworkers that threaten to push him over the edge.
When a 'bonding activity' with his coworkers lead to a potential haunting and ghostly attachment, Scar learns help and friendship can come from unexpected places, even when those places are highly frowned upon by society and probably really really dangerous. It doesn't really matter to Scar - his coworkers need taking down a peg, and he knows his new friend agrees with him. He wonders how much of his own 'hazing' he can get away with without his friend being discovered...

Summary
When Scar starts a new job in Identification, he thought it would be like all the times before - he'd try his best and ultimately fail, all while his coworkers watched on in pity or amusement. But going out on jobs with Skizz and Impulse is like a breath of fresh air, even when they have all the tools and knowledge to discover Scar's secret and ruin his life. Even better - they become friends, which is something Scar doesn't have many of.
But then things start going wrong during investigations - equipment going haywire, getting incorrect readings, signs pointing to multiple ghosts, all with Scar at the center point. It doesn't take long for Skizz and Impulse to start connecting dots.
Eventually, it will become too hard for Scar to hide it, and his secret will explode out into the open. He just hopes the fall out after doesn't take him down with it.

Fuyumi considers that. “Well, you turned up alive the last time I thought you were dead?”
Dabi’s garbled snarl makes Fuyumi double check the switch near the sink to make sure the garbage disposal hasn’t suddenly turned on.
“Just be a little more careful when you’re eating cold food,” she offers. “Your teeth will be fine in another minute if they aren’t fine already, stop being a baby.”
Dabi growls low in his throat.`

`Dabi closed his eyes and took a deep breath before calling his Quirk to his skin, gently, as gently as a Quirk made exclusively to destroy could manage. He'd done this before a few times when he was trying to fight off an infection on the streets, though in that case his body was more prone to do it itself—but he'd done it before, in theory. He'd never had to be quite so careful with it before; he'd never needed to try. He inhaled as his Quirk prowled across his skin, licking along the edges of his bloodstream and chomping at the bit to be freed. He pushed it down. He could do this. He could do this.
Dabi felt the warmth rise up in the parts of his skin that still had feeling, too warm to be normal but not warm enough to be too much. Or, at least, he hoped it wasn't too much. He couldn't perform any exact sciences, between the fact that they had almost no equipment and his Quirk being temperamental on a good day. It was going to be flying blind, but it had to work. It had to work. If it didn't, the rewarming shock from his Quirk could give Hawks permanent damage, and Dabi already had enough of that to last two lifetimes.`
