Summary
Din has a lot of problems right now. The covert has gone silent and he's starting to worry they may have excommunicated him. Grogu, turns out, is a mind-power-wielding wizard. Luke, also apparently a mind wizard, has been unintentionally reading Din's thoughts. Gideon might be onto them. It's a lot for one pizza delivery guy to manage.
Chapter Twenty-Two: Clearly, Luke had been desperate to communicate some sort of plan to him. Only Din has no idea what, or why it had to involve curb-stomping his heart into pulp, and he worries that he might be either too stupid or too compromised to figure it out.

The first comm message comes while Din's sitting in the hotel room, trying to get the kid to settle down after eating lunch so he can have an hour to work on cleaning his armor properly. He doesn't recognize the number, but Bo-Katan had said her contact would be in touch, though this is earlier than expected. By the time he's finished reading it, Bo-Katan is messaging him as well, a quick string of short messages that come in one after another.
Bo-Katan says, "Call me first," and "Call me now," and "This is extremely important," and "I pulled a lot of strings for this and you cannot afford to blow this off," and "Djarin, if you even think of trying to escape, I will track you down and stab you at least five times, I karking well mean it."

Summary
Admittedly, this is not the first time Luke has wound up at someone else’s kitchen table in someone else’s clothes. But it’s not breakfast, Luke’s not an undergrad scarfing down bacon and eggs to cure the common hangover, and Din doesn’t strike him as the kind of guy he’d meet at a house party. The baby is definitely a first.
Luke is a grad student trying to finish his linguistics PhD after an unexpected leave of absence. His neighbor, Din, is a single dad and delivery guy at Pizza Parsec.
(Actually, Pizza Parsec is just a front for the bounty hunters' guild. But Luke doesn't need to know that.)

"Hey." Ed reaches across because it's the only thing that feels right. He grasps Stede's wrist and smoothes the pad of his thumb across his knuckles. Stede stops fiddling with his ring and looks up at him, wide-eyed. "This isn't Captain shit. This is God shit. Are you God?"
The room is blank with silence.
Gently, Ed repeats, "Are you God, Stede?"
Stede's voice is thin and high when he answers, "I'm not God."
"And is God here, in this room?"
Comically, Stede looks around like he might find God perched on the edge of his desk, or pulling books from his shelves to examine the spines.
"He's not," Stede concedes.
"That's right, mate. Stupid bugger doesn't associate himself with pirates."
Or: The Revenge has been becalmed for six days. Ed has bigger things to worry about, like sharks and being in love.

“Not here! Not where I was very clearly going on vacation first.” Eddie’s arms are flailing at the speed of light. Richie watches them in abject wonder. “What the fuck are you— is this some kind of joke?”
Richie huffs. “Yeah, this is a fucking joke, man, alright? I’m really getting into situational humor and I thought I’d set us up for the week. A little too sitcom-y, or can you dig it?” He grins, his janky front tooth peeking down from under his stupid lips. His hair’s a fucking mess, but it looks effortless and Eddie fucking loves it, and that reignites the rage. That, and the fact that Richie fucking Tozier just showed up to stay in the house behind him while he… tries to get over Richie fucking Tozier.
Perfect.

It wasn’t a nice day, but a yellow Volkswagen bug rolled past them, taking its time, probably carrying God, and Eddie punched him. He remembered. Richie wished Eddie had hit him harder, so he could remember Eddie remembering, and then he wished he weren’t so fucked in the head.
