Legundo is drunk as hell and deserting his position, haunted by the horrors he's committed. Louis and Owen are seemingly just as eager to jump onto a random moving train but while Louis is kind enough to let Legundo stay within their facade, Owen is not. Oh boy I hope there are no murderers on this train.

Bandana Waddle Dee has seen the way Elfilin’s eyes flutter open after naps. They do not do so now. Instead, they blink, slowly and heavily. They don’t appear to see Bandana Waddle Dee at first, but then a tiny shudder ripples through them, and with something like a start, their gaze snaps into focus.
“Bandana one,” Fecto Elfilis says. “Spear.”
“Not inside the house,” Bandana Waddle Dee says firmly. “Outside.”
Bandana Waddle Dee is always willing to help those who ask, even people they still aren’t really all that sure about.

Summary
Legundo, painfully human, has been trapped in space for who knows how long. Whoever his kidnappers are, they keep sending him to new places with nothing but his will to survive, and just as he begins to get truly comfortable, he wakes up in a new place. Clearly, he’s being tested. Studied even.
Except the aliens must have lost track of which worlds-definitely-not-terrariums they’ve sent him to. Legundo’s already been to this winter simulation, hasn’t he?
Meanwhile, space captain Avid and his crew are an enemy-less merchant and delivery vessel for hire up until they get attacked by pirates and crash land on a research station specifically designed to simulate deathworlds. It’s frigid cold, there’s no communication arrays, their ship is non-operational, and it seems they’re not alone.
