She ponders this and a morbidity begins to take root in her line of thinking. Even though they are bound in every esoteric way, there remains a question pertaining to the corporeal. More physical means of bonding still escape them, willingly. Their soft touches and demure kisses are enough in some sense, yet desire creeps in. Unconventional, perhaps disturbing, but it is an unsettling conclusion which Elizabeth feels is right for them.

Summary
After sustaining a shallow bullet wound at the hands of Victor’s wrath, Elizabeth willingly goes into the Creature’s arms and leaves her entire life behind in a single night.
