Rumi recoiled, her trembling arms dragging up into a fragile gesture of surrender. And then she saw it, the glow. The dark sigils blazing across the backs of her own hands, pulsing like molten veins. Zoey’s blood streaked her skin in broken lines, smearing across those marks like a cruel reminder of what she had done. She could feel the patterns burning beneath the fabric of her hoodie, heat crawling up her arms, snaking along her throat, spreading everywhere until it felt like her whole body was branded from the inside out.
Rumi’s throat worked, but no words came. Or maybe they didn’t matter anymore. Because what Mira saw, what was written across her skin, was enough.

Rumi's hands begin to shake. "...what do you see?" she whispers.
"A demon. I don't trust you. Not with me, not with Zoey, not with yourself. You're no different than any other demon we've come across. No different than Gwi-Ma."
There is a shocked silence.
Rumi face crumples, it reminds them of the way she begged just a few weeks ago. Begged them not to leave her. To love her. Things had been so good, she was selfish to think she could have this. To want this.
Her tone is flat and resigned. "Oh."-------
or Rumi tries to hide her full demon traits after the idol awards to protect Zoey and Mira from her, and out of fear that their new fragile relationship will break under the reveal. Mira lashes out in the worst way possible after she catches Rumi in yet another lie, and angst ensues.

“Probably,” Mira repeats, entirely unimpressed. “What if we didn’t try potentially life threatening activities at 7PM on a Tuesday evening, instead?”
“Okay, but like. Have you ever read Undertale fanfiction?” Both Rumi and Mira stare blankly at her. “I’m taking that as a no. But if those fanfictions were correct, and fanfiction is rarely ever wrong, then getting your soul fondled probably feels really good.”
Rumi’s jaw drops.
Zoey smiles. “C’mon, Rumes, jerk my soul off.”
“What?!”
“Zoey, it’s a ball of light,” Mira says confidently, like she knows at all what she’s talking about. “I doubt you can even stroke it.”
As if that is at all the biggest problem with the suggestion. "Guys, please—"

Rumi can see souls, and it turns out she can touch them, too. This ability is not at all misused in any way :)

The client hadn’t really requested anything at all; their emails had been almost overly polite, if not jarringly formal, and had selected only the most vanilla options on the questionnaire she provided. Certainly a far cry from the standard practices of her usual clientele, but this one had paid upfront and picked this expensive hotel, and Mira’s fees are dear enough on their own that she had been coloured intrigued.
Mira takes a left down the hallway after leaving the elevator and finds herself at the door to the room. She doesn’t steel herself—doesn’t need to. She can handle anything. Has handled most things. Mira swipes the keycard and lets herself in.
The person sitting on the bed is probably the last thing she expects.
In which Mira is a professional, Rumi is socially inept, and Zoey is also there. Let's hope nobody catches feelings.

“Don’t ruin these young girls' lives. Leave them alone. They have a whole world ahead of them” Celine pulls away and heads for the door but at the last moment she turns to look back at her, “don’t let your selfishness be the thing that kills them”
