A sequel to "The First Casualty of War".
Set during the First Hybern War. Azriel is in the Hewn City, torturing for his High Lord; Cassian is with the Windhaven troops, down in Spring, leading his little band of fledgling warriors; Eris is leading a battalion under his father, alongside his second in command, Hal.
At the end of the previous work, the three of them were, ah, greatly enjoying one another's company.
But what happens next? How's it even possible for the three of them to form any kind of connection, in a time of war, and when one of them is heir to a court where such a thing is unthinkable? And what if others found out?
It's going to get a lot worse before it gets better.
