Summary
MK had been visiting Macaque on and off for weeks following the Lady Bone Demon’s defeat. He would drop off noodles from Pigsy’s and a few doodles, occasionally managing to chat with the prickly shadow demon before heading to the mountain.
And before long, he began to relay the shadow monkey’s downward spiral, weak in the wake of the spring season.
Like it or not, the shadow monkey was under his rule. And as his king, Sun Wukong couldn’t let him suffer through the season alone.
Or- Macaque's heatsick powers develop a will of their own, his shadows manifesting into the only thing their master can think about during springtime.

Summary
The shadow moved on instinct, dipping into the darkness and appearing just beside the boy, shouting “Look out!” before his mind could catch up. He shoved the little boy aside, but could not move in time to avoid the ink. It spilled all over him, ice cold and thick, sending a shock straight down his spine before he started shivering. Hard.
Or: Macaque gets hit with a magical substance, and Wukong is the closest person who can help. No, not the ink stuff from s4. It a different kind of stuff >:)
