Summary
You are Norman “The Skipper” Takamori, and in the past twenty-four marbecs (several of which you did not get to experience) you have escaped from jail, been stabbed twice, helped free a god, had an actual conversation with the slug who’s been commandeering your body for who knows how long that was very undercut by the face he was wearing at the time, melted a significant portion of a galactic empire, watched a moon fill up with powdered imitation egg substitute, carried out the single most inadvisable piloting maneuver of your career (such as it is), officiated a marriage for two people whom you had never met before in your life, maybe declared one of your crewmates as your son, and only now realized that you might actually need and be able to take some time to process all of that.
Or, what to do with your life when it turns out it’s not so easy to back out of it as you thought

Summary
Hornet is beginning to wonder if the Vessel she met in Greenpath really does have what it takes to contain the Infection, much less to actually break Hallownest out of its stagnation. She certainly hasn't run across it since, despite keeping a close eye on the only entrance it should be able to take into the kingdom's capital, and as time goes on it's been seeming ever more likely that it has failed just like all the rest.
...Though, stagnation may not be the best word for Hallownest's current state anymore. There's another bug in these ruins who seems to have been doing its best to revive the dying kingdom, and Hornet has to admit she's grateful for its efforts.
How odd, then, that she's never encountered it even once.

Who watches the Watcher?
Gertrude Robinson left Michael Shelley to be consumed by the Spiral, saving the world—as far as she knew—at the cost of a single human life. She returned to a nearly empty Archive, the blood on her one remaining assistant's hands far more of a concern than that on her own.
And then Michael came back.
The Distortion couldn't do any real harm to Gertrude, and never really managed to do much minor harm in the years leading up to her death. But it stayed, and continued to do Michael Shelley's work, and so it was still working (for a certain value of working) in the Archives when a new Archivist was appointed to the position, alongside a fresh crop of archival assistants.
Perhaps there could be some merit to sticking around after all.
Or, season one with the addition of a fourth archival assistant, in the form of a Distortion that is desperately doing its best to keep these newbies from flinging themselves into death's jaws at the slightest opportunity, because archival assistants have no survival instincts as a general rule.

Summary
"You are on a path in the woods. At the end of that path is a cabin. And in the basement of that cabin..."
So it begins, every time—not that the nameless voice has any idea how he knows that. This is the first time he's been here, and the only thing he remembers to boot. And yet he still knows, somehow, that there is a Princess in the basement of that cabin, that the other voices in his head are meant to be there, and that something has gone horribly wrong.
Or, an unexplained absence of both the Narrator and the Long Quiet leaves the voices—and their patchwork memories of their own paths—to do the Long Quiet's job for him. It's going just fine.

Summary
In one world, Tanjiro Kamado stands in the aftermath of his family’s massacre and swears vengeance on the culprit. In that world, he and his sister are the ones to rise in power among the Demon Slayers in the hopes of ridding the world of one Muzan Kibutsuji.
In another, parallel world, their goals couldn’t be more different.
With the last two Kamados and every face they know on the opposite side of a centuries-long war, there is a need for someone else to take up the sword to defend the world from demons. A frail boy, saved from the slaughter of his family by simple virtue of being in the right place at the right time.
The two worlds would have gotten on just fine if they continued in parallel. Less a few heroes, certainly, but everything would have progressed according to plan.
Most would agree it’s a good thing they didn’t.
Or, the Kamaboko squad (minus Nezuko) find themselves in a world where everyone’s roles have been reversed. Their counterparts could say the same.

Summary
It was rubbing salt in the wound that it had to happen in the few weeks leading up to his birthday. Not-birthday. Day of his third officially recognized birthdate. Whatever. It didn’t actually matter what terminology one was to use for it, it was Kaigaku’s day and to bring home another child so close, no matter how much he looked like an abandoned cat, was pure blasphemy.
The child’s name was Zenitsu Agatsuma, and he was completely pathetic.
Or, a Kaigaku character study within a modern AU.

Summary
...there is usually, but not necessarily, a way.
Zenitsu is well aware that his friends' rock(?) band Chic-N-Scruffy Democracy is, to put it lightly, a weapon so cruel and deadly that to unleash it in the middle of a battlefield would still be a war crime. Not as though he could say that to anyone's faces, though. He could never hurt his friends' feelings like that.
He doesn't have any qualms about sending his brother to do it for him, though.
