Since merging with Sothis, Byleth occasionally wakes up to a surprise. Her hair, barely recognisable to her in it's new colour anyway, grows in her sleep, making her look like the goddess that she has lost. On top of everything this war is throwing at her, this is the last thing she needs.
Claude, ever the vigilant soul that he is (not that he is obsessed with Byleth, thank you very much) begins to notice that his dear teach keeps getting... new hair cuts. Sharp trims when it should be grown out. Shorter and longer fringes day to day. The mystery is both a welcome distraction and an infuriating mystery.
Set across the war and after Claude's return to Almyra. I am soft for these two softies. <3
