Steve's mind is carefully blank. It has been from the moment his father walked him to one of the castle’s balconies, the one that oversaw his home kingdom in its entirety, and said the word betrothal. He had suppressed every single thing, every emotion and feeling and conviction that had risen inside of him that very moment, and has continued to suppress them, and he will continue well after he is officially wed tonight—most likely until he takes his final breath.

From childhood, Prince Stephen of the Northlands has been a disappointment. When his parents forged a new alliance with the Southlands, he did not expect his own hand to factor into the treaty. Summary
The last thing Steve saw Eddie was covered in his blood, Eddie was bleeding out and died. The last few days after he died he came back.
Eddie came looking pale and with fangs and red eyes that for some reason Steve gets lost in them their like rubies so rare to find in Steve's mind.
Steve started to get headaches and started to trim his nails costly. Steve one day stop talking but he covers his mouth when he talks to anyone.
Steve also stop wanting to eat food as well. Steve would mumble something like "why am I so hungry but not for food?". Then he hid in his house not talking at all.
Eddie came to check on Steve what he saw surprised him.

-Dustin huffed a sigh. “El said that Eddie was, like, hunched over eating something dead or whatever, and when they tried to talk to him he nearly killed them.”
Robin, meanwhile, was freaking out. “Wait, wait, wait, wait. So you dinguses are telling us that Eddie Munson is alive, but eating dead stuff in the Upside Down? Because surely he would’ve gotten really sick and he won’t be able to survive that long, and he easily could have some sort of rab-.”
“That’s just it.” Will said quietly, his eyes fogged with no emotion. “He’s not in the Upside Down. He made it out. Eddie’s roaming around in Hawkins.”
Steve’s heart nearly leapt out of his chest as Will spoke. There was a chance that Eddie was okay. That he was alive. Not in the best state, sure, but alive.-

Approaching Steve as if he were a wounded animal, Eddie gently placed his hands on the brunette’s shoulders, rubbing soft circles into them.
In front of Steve sat a letter, its contents blurred out by the tears that had come from Steve’s eyes when he first opened it.
“What did this one say?” Eddie asks gently.
Steve sniffles, taking a sip of the whiskey before he begins to speak, “He knows where we live.”

so i've been writing this since vol 1 came out and i think i've got to a point where i'm not gonna lose motivation. i haven't read any other stranger things texting fics specifically because i didn't want to subconsciously copy them, so if this is similar to any other stranger things texting fics you've read, i promise it wasn't on purpose.
all the characters are a year older than they were in season 4. would this technically mean that robin and nancy and etc should be in college?? yes. we're just gonna pretend that they all ended up going to college online or in hawkins.

He knows that everyone else is going through their own shit, and it doesn't feel fair to burden anyone with his own anxiety issues. On a walk to clear his head after a bad dream, he runs into none other than Eddie Munson. Sure, the two of them had definitely gotten closer while they were saving the world, but something about this run-in with Eddie seems different. It makes Steve feel things he hadn't felt since Nancy. After saving the world, you would think Steve would be able to handle anything. But his sexuality crisis and newfound feelings for Eddie is something way more confusing and daunting than the Upside Down had ever been.
