Summary
In the years since Fabian's grand gay awakening—prompted in large part by walking in on Gorgug making out with Max Durden in one of his guest rooms at their Aguefort graduation after-party—he spent a lot of time thinking about what it would look like if he ever worked up the nerve to tell Gorgug how he felt about him. It would be sweet, he thought; maybe a shy kiss under the mistletoe at Moonar Yulenear, or quietly taking his hand during movie night and lacing their fingers together, or hooking his ankle around Gorgug's under the table at Basrar's, sharing a mint-chocolate flavored kiss afterward in the parking lot under the stars.
In all his daydreaming, Fabian never pictured Gorgug shirtless on his couch after a particularly bloody battle, hair still damp from the shower, wearing a pair of low-slung gray sweatpants that showed off the sharp vee of his hipbones and made it abundantly clear that he wasn't wearing any underwear. A failure of imagination on his part, clearly.
