Summary
When the king of Philos remarried, unlikely bonds were formed. Bringing a woman and her son into the castle was no easy task. Many viewed the union as a stain upon the royal family tree; a branch that shouldn't exist - he shouldn't exist. The blue eyed prince didn't share that opinion, giving Sylus a powerful ally as he found his place in the castle, and Xavier gained a fiercely loyal companion.

“I’m Caleb, I’m your guide,” he said the last part like it should mean something, but it only left you more confused. A large number of sentinels didn’t have dedicated guides as far as you knew, that privilege was reserved for those powerful enough for their respective agency or government body to decide they were worth the investment of taking a capable guide away from the rest of their talent pool. And that was without mentioning the crazy high combability score such a decision usually required.
Needless to say, completely unregistered sentinels definitely didn’t get a dedicated guide the first time they went nuclear in the field.
