Summary
Olruggio was off, away on a business trip. He had told Qifrey when he had left. "I'll only be gone for a week. You probably won't even notice I'm gone. It'll be no different than when I work on a commission for a week straight."
Olruggio had told him that, but didn't seem to be very happy. They had just finished renovating the atelier about a month ago, so this would be Olruggio's first business trip since they moved in. Qifrey had yet to find an apprentice, so there really wasn't any reason for Olruggio to be around. Qifrey would be perfectly fine on his own, and he told Olruggio this.

The thought leaves him with a hiss, not through mouth but through skin, the high-pitched screech of boiling water meeting flesh, followed by his own wail as his arm erupts in pain.
And Olruggio of the Torch burns.
