“I like when you’re like this.”
The words are soft, like a confession Will wasn’t supposed to share. Like he’s telling Mike a secret, hushed into his ear in Castle Byers when they were ten.
“What?” Mike swallows.
“Y’know, leading. When you sound worried…it’s like you care.”
“I do care, Will.” Mike doesn’t know what to say. “You’re my best friend.”
OR; dorming with Will at university is killing Mike and he has no way of coping with it. Until he does.

“Mike…” Will says, still not looking him in the eyes, “The problem is that he does matter, and I can’t just ignore him until he goes away, because I don’t want him to go away—But I also can’t tell him, since that would obviously ruin everything!”
“Wait, so you’re telling me you haven’t even asked him how he feels? Will. I guarantee that if you tell him that you feel this way he would be an idiot not to return your feelings! And there’s no way to know that he isn’t a… um that he isn’t like you without asking,” Mike says, trailing off towards the end, afraid that he has crossed a line with that last sentence. He continues on anyway, stating, “I mean I dated El before, but if you asked, I’d totally date you in the blink of an eye! Dude, you’re… you’re perfect!”
OR
A fix-it of the terrible AI slop that was the tower scene between Mike and Will in the finale.

Summary
Sadly, Mike wasn't the only one with eyes in that room,
He wasn't the only who could admire the way the light caught Will's sun-kissed skin, making it glow like a summer's day. The way his mesmerizing hazel eyes shimmered, flecked with green and gold, drawing you in with their magic. The way his chiseled square jaw clenched when he was trying not to burst out laughing, the way his perfectly pointed nose scrunched up when he ended up doing so. The delicate pink blush that painted his cheeks and extended to his ears, a telltale sign of his pleasure.
He was beautiful.
And it grated on Mike's nerves.
Because, his Will was dancing with someone else.

“That’s not my favorite.”
“Oh.” Will blinks. “What is?”
Mike’s tongue darts out to wet his lower lip. “O negative.” Will feels a flush move across his entire body. His magic hums inside of him, excited. His fingers twitch against the carton. Maybe Will was wrong, maybe this is different than having a favorite kind of pizza. More personal. O negative sits differently in Will’s head than double black olives with extra cheese does. More intimate.
“Oh.” Will blinks again. And maybe O negative sits differently in Will’s head, because it also flows through his veins. He feels obligated to tell Mike. “I’m O negative.”
Mike’s pupils widen again. “I know.” His voice is low, gravelly.
Will’s breath hitches again. “You know?” He flinches when Mike’s fingers graze his, peeling the carton out of Will’s hand.
Mike takes a deep breath. “I can smell it.”

Or, five times that Will offered Mike his blood and the one time that Mike accepted.
