XENOBLADE CHRONICLES SPOILERS
Shulk felt nothing as he turned back and met Dickson’s eyes, only just visible over the barrel of the gun he had seen in his visions. Maybe he should have felt something- horror, or fear, anything other than the void gnawing at his chest- but Shulk could only watch as Fiora shouted something too hazy to hear, and Reyn tackled Dickson to the ground, and the fingers of Egil’s mech curled upwards to shield him.
In which Shulk survives Mechonis Core, Egil is a walking youtuber apology video, and Zanza remains imprisoned- for now.

Gotta love a story that forces a man to kill the man he loves not just once but twice. (Egil does not kill Shulk but he mentally went there for a moment.) Also I love scenarios where reviving Zanza goes a little sideways and they don't get his ether out of Shulk's body so he's gotta possess Shulk as plan b.
