Summary
Winter has struck Camelot hard. Entire villages are disappearing beneath the snow, and the castle is perpetually freezing. In an attempt to beat the cold, Arthur seeks out Merlin hoping for someone to share his bed at night. To his great embarrassment, he stumbles across Merlin and Gwaine already quite cozy together.
Arthur is desperate to stop feeling lonely, and makes a deal. If only he could figure out why he has this perpetual cold feeling in his chest.

“Scoot over,” he says.
Raphael sighs, but wisely doesn’t fight it. He shifts to the left side of his bed and watches with hooded eyes as Simon makes himself comfortable next to him.
Simon rolls up the sleeve on his left arm.
“Simon,” Raphael says and he sounds drained. Bad day indeed.
“Don’t even bother. You’re worse today.” He holds up his arm to Raphael’s mouth. “C’mon.”
The sting of Raphael’s teeth sinking into his arm is familiar and the pain fades quickly, giving way to something warm and swirling that takes root deep inside him. He smiles because Raphael didn’t put up as much of a fight as he normally does. He lets his eyes flutter to a close and then he floats. He can feel each place Raphael aches and the bloodlust that is being sated. It’s a heady feeling.

Raphael comes to understand that Magnus usually summons ice cream for Alec when he’s having a particularly bad day. And obviously, with Magnus gone, his main source of joy and ice cream is gone. So, Raphael sighs a little and offers Alec his company instead, which the shadowhunter gladly accepts.
And then, the next day, he shows up at the apartment with a tub of vanilla ice cream – he figures Alec likes things plain – and shrugs off Alec’s gratefulness because really, it was just sitting in his freezer and he didn’t like vanilla at all.
Or: Alec's soft spot is ice cream; Raphael's soft spot is Alec.

Klaus Mikaelson isn't an exception. Though, he for sure wishes he was.
Or, Klaus is feeling touch starved lately and to his dismay all he wants is to be petted. Getting the determination to tell his big brother is harder than he thought it would be.
