    Exactly a year to the day after Isak and Jonas die in an apartment fire, Even meets a strange man outside of his grief group. This man asks Even an impossible question: Would he rather move on from the pain of losing Isak or, if he could, would he chose to go back to him knowing what he knows now?

    Of course, Even chooses Isak.

    Except this man doesn't just bring Isak back. No, he takes Even back too, back to that awful day when he lost everything. But he has Isak again, even if just for the day, and just maybe he'll have the chance to set things right and save the love of his life.

    Summer on the windy west coast island is the same as ever. Calm, serene, and mostly uneventful, and Isak does not expect that to change. He’s eighteen now, after all—too old for games, swimming and bonfires. He’s fine working his summer job at the camping, helping his parents at the house, and being on his own.

    Until suddenly, his childhood friend unexpectedly reappears as a camping guest. This time without a girlfriend, twice as hot, but maybe not as unattainable as Isak previously thought.
