Summary
"Hey, baby, look at me," Ilya tries. He grabs Shane's face and wipes the sweaty hair from his forehead. "Shane, please? Are you okay? What's your colour?"
Shane's eyes drift towards Ilya slowly, until their gazes lock. Ilya stares into the depths of his eyes, searching for anything that shows that Shane is still in there somewhere, and that is when Shane snaps back into reality like he has been struck by lightning. His eyes widen as he sucks in a big sharp breath and starts pulling away, away, and away. Away from Ilya. He starts feverishly tugging at the restraints that are still holding his wrists firmly in place on the headboard. And now, he is no longer silent.
Instead, Shane sobs.

While the whole "tying Shane up" thing sounds fun at first, it is not so fun anymore when Shane has a panic attack when trying it.
Ilya finds out that something bad has happened to Shane in the past. -

Summary
It’s like every single emotion of today has built up to this moment; the only moment where it actually matters whether he can focus or not. He's dodged breakfast already (or lunch, whatever) and fled before he’d do some other stupid shit, but this isn’t something he can just skip. Right now he is stuck, and the words he reads just don’t make any sense, no matter how hard he tries.
He isn't going to cry, though.
He is not.

Techno has a bad day and suffers through an episode of executive dysfunction. His family finds him when he's going through the worst of it, and tries to help.

“You don’t look at me like I am crazy.” Ilya says, voice barely above a breath.
Shane’s brow furrows. “Because you’re not.”
“I feel like I am.”
Shane’s hand comes up to cradle his jaw. Warm palm with gentle pressure on his skin. “You look like someone doing something hard.” Something in Ilya’s chest cracks open again, but softer this time.
(ie. ilya has a very rough day at therapy and comes home to shane to process it all and feel comfort)

Ilya’s mouth opened, but before he could say something, Shane sat up. He looked at Pike, his face flat, but Ilya saw the paleness in his cheeks where a beautiful flush usually sat.
“I do, Hayden. I do really hate you right now.”
