Sure you could study quirk genetics as you would with any other science, but do not forget that science is just magic that can be explained. Unfortunately for everyone living with quirks, there can be unforeseen consequences. Have you ever thought (and I mean really thought) about how the quirk gene affects the DNA, about how the body compensates for these supernatural abilities? One girl, Momo Yaoyorozu , thinks about this every day. Sure there are quirks that are not compatible with the person's body, such as Yuga Aoyama or Izuku Midoriya, but that is not Momo's problem. No, her problem is that her quirk is too compatible with her body And that is something that is constantly plaguing her mind.

Kon read it four times. He read it the way you read something that your brain keeps refusing to process, keeps sliding off of, the way certain information simply will not stick because your mind has categorized it as incompatible with reality and is doing its level best to reject it. He read it until the words stopped looking like words and became just shapes, just ink on a pale surface, abstract and meaningless, and then he read it one more time and the shapes became words again and they still said the same thing they'd said the first time.

Yoshiki has felt different from usual today, and ‘Hikaru’ can’t pinpoint what it is.
If ‘Hikaru’ doesn’t know the cause behind Yoshiki feeling different, his logical conclusion is that therefore the reason behind it must be… ‘Hikaru’ himself. The very thought only makes ‘Hikaru’ more anxious, more compelled to take yet another look in Yoshiki’s direction and take whatever action he can to remedy it.
