After Hawkins becomes a corrupt wasteland to the Upside-Down, the Party's parents decide it would be best to stay together. The Wheelers, the Sinclairs, and the Hendersons all move to Lenora Hills, California to give themselves a sense of security in an apocalyptic reality. By some glorious butterfly effect, Steve and Eddie move in together and so do Robin and Nancy. Living so close with someone else makes them begin to wonder if the word "friends" really sums up what they are to one another.
