Summary
Sonic is a hero. He always saves the day. He's always there to stop Eggman when he pops up with his crazy gadgets and world dominating plans.
But what happens when one day a battle with Eggman makes him forget all that he is? What if Eggman uses this to weld him into a loyal servant to do his evil deeds? Sonic doesn't understand why, But surely he can trust the man who was there when he woke up, right?
But Shadow can't stand it. Watching Eggman take this loyal and trusting hero and use him for his own gain. He might stand by the sidelines for a while, but will he step in? Will he help Sonic remember who he is? And maybe find out more about who he is as well?
A memory is a precious thing, but sometimes those very memories can betray you and leave you grasping for the truth.

As the sun and moon rose and fell he worked hard to ensure everyone had their freedom. If this star pushed himself any further he'd soon burn out. He continued anyway, shining brighter
Stars shine brighter before their death. Yet Sonic was already considered the brightest star by many, his light always able to vanquish the dark. But this time it wouldn't be enough. The End was here yet he refused to give up, not when he had others counting on him. Consumed by darkness, corruption bit at the edge of his mind and he knew what he had to do. Despite the warnings, he gave his light 'til no more was left to give. Shining brighter 'til a supernova occurred, the death of a star
With the death of a star a new one may form, familiarity replaced by uncertainty. Sonic used to be a star, or so he's heard, so why does he find himself lost in the sky, unable to name a single star? He was no longer a bright shining star, but maybe someday he'd find himself among the stars of the sky once again
