“Hey Jax..” Pomni starts to call out quietly but upon seeing the back of his shoulders tense further she pauses.
Are you okay? She wants to ask.
But her gut tells her that that might not be the best approach with Jax yet. The memory of him hunched over the buttons console in despair, raw and full of hurt comes unbidden.
“...What is this place?” She asks instead, relieved to see that his shoulders slightly sagged down as if in relief.
Jax cracked one eye open and glanced lazily toward the far wall.
“No idea,” he said. “Just another one of those rooms.”

Her hope to find someone from the circus dwindles and she finds herself stumbling out of a bar, having drank all of her guilt and agony away with beer. Taking a walk through the park is usually a breeze, but it all comes to a standstill as she faces someone she swore she knows, just not in this life.

She wouldn't do it again. She doesn't have a gun to do it with, anyway. It still... sticks. The idea. Like, she can't stay dead—what's the harm in, say, snapping her neck right now, just to see what it's like?
