Summary
All of Mel's boyfriends.
Mel would never presume that Frank Langdon is boyfriend material.
Those were the words Princess had used once—though in a very different tone, after she’d stared a little too long at the new radiologist who’d come down for a consult.
“What about me?” Frank had said, winking at her like a dog begging for a treat.
It had made Mel feel inexplicably sad.
Set some time after season two.

Summary
“I swear I’ve mentioned Alex before,” Mel murmurs, frowning down at her phone, still not clocking how she’s short-circuited Frank’s brain. It's a blue screen of death up there. Hi, you’ve reached Dr. Frank Langdon. I’m not available to talk right now, but leave a message, and I might get back to you. Beeeeeep.
The picture continues to shine cheerily up at them, silently mocking Frank. He forces himself to look away and swallows with difficulty. “I think I'd remember if you'd told me about your ‘best friend’ who you ‘used to be in love with.’”

Summary
A new routine had presented itself in Frank’s life. Stay over at Abby's on the weekends, and on weekdays, he’d be in his apartment. It was easier for the kids to adapt, to have him in their grasp for a few days at a time. To the average person, it may seem sad to be divorced and in such close proximity with your ex-wife. To be a ghost in your own home. Yet, he wasn’t sad.
When Abby had sat him down and broken the news that she was ready for things to come to a swift end, he agreed. There was no other option for the two of them other than remaining friends. It had been that way for much longer than either of them would like to admit. They had hardship before pain pills infiltrated his consciousness.
However, his new life seems to unbalance itself when Melissa King asks Frank to go out to a bar as a favor. It shifts even further when she pokes and prods at the boundaries of their relationship with almost no warning. And who is he to deny Melissa King?

Summary
Mel had insisted that her Uncle Jack wouldn't give her any special treatment if she switched her residency to The Pitt.
They do so well at keeping their relationship from being seen as nepotistic that they accidentally send a completely different message to their coworkers. Really, is it their fault that everyone is always betting on which coworkers are sleeping together?

Summary
When Melissa King is forced into making a tinder account by her best friend Trinity Santos, she is definitely not expecting to find the very man she’s been crushing on for fourteen months—Frank Langdon himself. She shouldn’t be surprised, recently divorced and desperate for something to busy himself with, casual dating makes sense. Only she is not expecting the it’s a match! sequence to appear when she “accidentally” swipes right.
That’s fine. Plenty of people match with their co-workers. What could go wrong—or right?
