Summary
It started with movement, a fluid motion of glittering green chasing itself in the corner of her eye.
One brief moment of eye contact—vibrant moss meeting rich dark chocolate—if only for a second.
And just with that, Anna’s small town life got a little larger.

Summary
Bucky would claim he was in the wrong place, wrong time. Sam would argue Bucky could find trouble in a locked and empty room. Either way, it’s going to take both of them to figure this one out.
“I ask you to do one thing. One simple thing, and you can’t manage it without getting into a shootout.”
“I think shopping was safer in the forties,” Bucky groans. “But we didn’t have any money, and we never bought anything, so I could be wrong.”

Summary
He writes the book as a coping mechanism. The Adventures of Star-Lord isn't a best seller, but it does help Gregg Quill get over the loss of his daughter, his grandson: helps him pick back up and keep on living.
He doesn't expect, almost thirty years later, to find that his little Star-Lord has grown into the galaxy's Star-Lord.
He doesn't expect to have the story come to life before him, in the flesh: with a few crucial revisions.
He certainly doesn't expect Peter to come back home.

Summary
Hela has built a decent life for herself, far from the family she hasn't spoken to in six years. Her dad and stepmom's divorce shouldn't have made a ripple. So how did she end up on a cross-country road trip with a giant dog, two estranged half brothers, and a spray-painted Volkswagen?
They're going to need a lot more than a bag of powdered donuts and half a tank of gas to get home.

Summary
Jason Todd goes to Titan's Tower to send a message. He won’t kill Robin there, no—that wouldn’t be poetic enough. Instead, he’ll torture the cuckoo to death and dump his body in the Nevada desert, never to be found—ensuring he has enough fingers and toes to mail Bruce for the next twenty years.
Only when the time comes, Jason…can’t do it.
Now he’s stranded 3,000 miles from Gotham, with nothing but a smart-mouthed Robin, a beat-up pickup truck, and a dream.
You know what they say—take me home, country roads.
Or,
Jason goes to Titans Tower to attack Tim. Instead, the two road-trip across the country from San Fransisco back to Gotham. Featuring greasy diner food, shitty motels, talks about trauma in the bed of a pickup truck, and as many metaphors about roads as I can possibly cram in here.
OR OR,
Jason drives forever and ends up exactly where he started.

Summary
When Dennis leans over a man brought in for drunkenness, shaking his shoulder and, when that gets no response, moving to a sternal rub, he is completely blindsided by the elbow which connects with his brow bone, knocking him to the floor in an undignified heap and causing him to glance his head off the arm of a plastic chair on the way down. And Jack, God help him, is still in the corridor struggling with a pair of gloves.
--
Dennis gets punched by a patient. Jack helps out as best he can in the aftermath.
