Summary
With the war officially at its end, there is still quite the mess to clean up. Not all of the Decepticons are amenable to surrender, but more than one are ready for things to be over. With access to a spacebridge and Cybertron showing signs of life, the idea of rebuilding and starting over is looking promising.
It still doesn't explain what happened with the Well of the AllSparks lighting itself.
AU: A continuation of 'An Alignment of the Stars' where I go off the rails and continue to write until I find where the heck I am going.

Summary
Optimus Prime has witnessed the fall of Cybertron. He has watched his friends die. He has watched the planet he once called home slowly turn its back on him. His only hope is that a few of his comrades remain alive - Despite the fact that not a soul among them has contacted him yet.
AU: What if Optimus Prime was saved by a pair of humans that are not so dysfunctional it hurts, and he started to understand what particularly about Guardianship is fun instead of a necessary evil? Post Dark of the Moon, mostly skipping 4 and 5 and diving straight into Rise of the Beasts.
Author's Note: M Rating begins applying at Chapter 5, "Of Rebirth and Retribution" for gore and injury. Further chapters will have a rating warning as applicable.

Summary
The first time he talks to Eveline, really actually talks, is right after he 'dies' from his 'injuries' from the battle with Miranda. Yes, the quotes are necessary, because if he doesn't put them there, he does dangerous things like thinking he's alive and has a body that can get up and go find his daughter and give her a big, huge, actual hug because he's sad, goddammit, that he can't do that because he's not alive.

Or, Ethan Winters has a long time of being 'dead.' Highlights include: learning how to talk to Rose, learning how to talk to Eveline, and learning how to continue pissing off whatever God really wants him dead but can't be bothered to actually do the job right.
