Summary
Inspired by the lyrics of Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight” and told through both present-day scenes and flashbacks. Charlie and Nick dated for only two weeks when they were teenagers, and life took them in different directions after the breakup. Charlie has done his best to move on from Nick, to pretend he’s not miserable in his abusive marriage to Ben Hope, to stop playing the “what if?” game… But when a chance encounter brings Nick Nelson back into Charlie’s life again, they will both need to come to terms with their past and present feelings.

Summary
Nick’s tired.
Not because of Charlie — because of school and rugby and life and everything else — but Charlie can’t stop seeing exhaustion in the shadows under Nick’s eyes and hearing it in the softness of his voice.
And once the thought takes root, it grows ugly fast:
Maybe loving Charlie has always been heavier than Nick admits.
Or: Charlie spirals quietly, Nick notices anyway, and neither of them leave the conversation unchanged.

Summary
Eight years after Evercove fell to a coup, its royal children are finally free.
Princess Victoria arrives in Glenhaven ready to bury her grief beneath court lessons and war councils. Prince Oliver arrives wide-eyed and eager, having been born in a dungeon and never seen the world beyond stone walls. Prince Charles arrives silent, starving, and hollowed out by captivity, unable to leave the room he has been given.
Their mother was executed years ago. Their father, King Julio, is still trapped beneath the palace after choosing to save his children instead of himself. And the man who stole their kingdom still calls himself Grand Monarch.
For Prince Nicholas Nelson of Glenhaven, Charlie's return is both a miracle and a wound reopened. Before the coup, they were inseparable. Now Charlie flinches from kindness, mistrusts closed doors, and carries the shadow of Ben Hope, the Grand Monarch's son, in every silence.
As Queen Serina prepares Victoria to reclaim Evercove's throne and Glenhaven's court turns against its own unfit heir, Nick must prove himself worthy of a crown while learning that love is not the same as rescue.
Charlie survived the dungeon. Now he has to learn how to live outside it.

Charlie is having a really bad time. He is a broken, lonely mess that is only a burden to those he loves. He has been depressed in bed for too long, and he needs to get out and find something new to live for.
Nick’s life is feeling too small. He’s thrown away everything he was living for. He hasn’t felt like himself in years and he needs to find a place to figure out who he is and where to go from there.
When our boys answer a call for work aways, they land at the Wheatleys’s cottage in fucking Canada, hired to work and live side by side among a family that is loud and chatty and just a bit too open.
How will the next ten weeks shape who they are and what they want? And how will finding each other turn their lives around?Bookmarked by Theodore05
