The siege of Andrealphus' Ice City lasts five long years: eventually, thanks to a clever trick with a wooden horse (it's always horses with Blitzø), the imp king is eager to go home and embrace his husband and daughters again.
Except... adverse fate and bad choices will push the shores he longs for farther and farther from his reach.

Post S2E8. This is Christmas-themed, but it can be read all year round as it's minimal for plot purposes.
