Forest Prince Branch had too many worries. His people were skilled, logical, and always prepared. Except for when the Egg Boom came.
Both of their Kingdoms needed help from the other. And so their parents had a treaty made, where they would both be wed to the other to ensure the treaty’s reliability. Neither were prepared for the other.
Poppy could only describe her new husband in three words. Rude. Sarcastic. And, worst of all, Gray. He was not at all the kind of guy she had ever seen herself marrying.
Branch wasn’t exactly fond of her either. He found her naive, annoying, and absolutely nothing like the bride his Great-Grandfather Gavel had promised him.
But, in spite of everything, they do grow closer. They become friends. They fall in love. Little do they know, they’re lives are more deeply entwined than they once thought.

Luca Paguro had had anxiety his entire life. He always felt like one wrong move would completely ruin him, so he learned to stay out of the sun. Even though he wanted nothing more than to make a friend, or finally gain the courage to talk to Giulia Marcovaldo, he knew it would all be for nothing. The moment he spoke, they would know he was weird and different. Even he knew he was weird and different. He just didn't know how different he was. At least, not until a boy with eyes the color of sea glass came into his life.
Alberto Scorfano always knew he was useless. He knew he was the person who ruined everything, the person everyone grew tired of. So he found it pointless to make friends when they would eventually leave him... Just like his dad had. It's not like he did it on purpose. He probably just wasn't as interesting as he thought he was. And the only interesting thing about him, he had to keep a secret. There was no way anyone here would accept someone like him. Though those thoughts always swam around in his head, it was growing incredibly hard to ignore the doe-eyed boy that always had his head in the stars. -

But he wasn't. He has known this moment was coming since he was young and knew exactly what to do. And he knows exactly who to choose.
Alberto, on the other hand, has no idea what the hermit crab is going on!
