    James didn’t see fit to dignify him with a response this time, instead leaning in to whisper something into the woman’s ear which had her erupting in giggles. It was a shrill, unfavourable sound, and Sherlock thought he may just combust if he were forced to listen to it a moment longer. He grabbed James by the arm and wrenched him from the woman, who let out an over-exaggerated gasp before almost immediately moving on to the next half-drunk target when she realised James wouldn’t be returning.
    “Agh, what the— Sherlock!” James hissed, pawing uselessly at his vice-like grip as Sherlock made a beeline for the small door he’d noticed on the way in. Taking a quick look to ensure they weren’t being observed, he swung the door open and shoved James through, following and closing the door with a click behind them.

    Or, Sherlock gets annoyed when James is distracted with the dancers instead of looking for Silas. James takes it upon himself to show Sherlock what distraction really means.

    Sherlock met James’s eyes again. He was silent for a minute, collecting his evidence, visiting all possibilities and eliminating them one by one.
    “I…” Sherlock breathed, James raised an eyebrow. “I must be wrong. I must’ve missed something, it can’t be–”
    “Once you have eliminated the impossible,” James cut in, “Whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth,”
    Sherlock swallowed. James's eyes left his momentarily, tracing the movement of Sherlock’s throat and lingering on his lips before meeting his gaze once again.
    “Me,” Sherlock breathed, voice shaking. “You want me,”

    The worst, absolute worst thing about Karasu was that being around him made Oboro feel helpless. He hated feeling helpless. Even more so, he hated how the more Karasu teased the more…ache…he felt in certain places. An ache that never seemed to be sated by mere thoughts of revenge or honor, that no amount of meditating by waterfalls seemed to soothe.
    Oboro's hunt for Karasu once again results in the melodramatic ninja getting one over on him. To Oboro's great misfortune, he's into that.
