In another life they meet on the road, at the kickboxing classes Bucky's always wanted to take down at the Y, at one of those coffee shops that has cats in the windows. They've got good jobs and a better apartment and every night they fall asleep to the muted sounds of the city around them 'cause they've got thick windows to block out the worst of it.
In this one they've known each other forever and they've been SamandBucky since seventh grade. Sam's got Bucky, a freezer full of popsicles 'cause they were on sale, and a coffee table piled high with overdue bills.
