And Aerion’s grandfather just lost the London Mayoral elections, so that’s even a bigger embarrassment. His family’s broke, and he’s trying to save face in Oxford.
They meet via a fresher’s party… and oh my god someone is in deep DENIAL.
TLDR: Lovable and humble Dunk meets pretty boy Aerion trying to keep afloat in a world where his family is losing its grip. Dunk becomes his anchor.

And there’s the wedding ring he doesn’t take off. You tried reading the obituary in the library when you were supposed to be doing research and only got as far as “...passed thirteen months after a diagnosis of glioblastoma…” before you felt sick.
You’ve felt that ring inside you while you’ve fallen apart on his fingers. You’ve licked the warm metal clean after.

The problem is the person she collides with isn’t a random stranger—it’s Professor Baelor Targaryen, her brilliant, composed supervisor, and the last man she can afford to be tangled up with.
The kiss lights the gossip machine instantly and puts Rae in a precarious position. But Baelor has his own reasons to want the rumour controlled rather than denied. So they strike an agreement: a carefully managed fake relationship with public dates, strict rules, and enough believability to silence speculation. It should be simple, strategic, and temporary.

I kept seeing professor Baelor headcanons on tiktok, so I wrote this loosely following the plot of The Love Hypothesis by Ali Hazelwood for giggles. Modern AU professor Baelor X Original Female Character Student
