Draco wasn’t sure what he had expected when Harry handed him a mug of coffee that morning. Living together had been strange enough—after years of their families’ rivalry, they had decided to move in together, half out of convenience and half just to spite their parents. Somehow, it had worked.
What Draco hadn’t expected, though, was the heavy wave of drowsiness that crept in hours later, making his eyelids droop until he could hardly fight it. It wasn’t the normal kind of tired. It was thick, sluggish, almost drunk. He remembered collapsing into bed sometime around two in the morning.
The next time he woke, it was already late at night—close to eleven. His body still felt foggy and warm, as though he’d been drugged with wine. Except… there was something else. A pressure at his wrists. A pull at his ankles.
