Summary
Eraad kicks the ogre's massive head across the floor. His breath comes out in hoarse, wheezing pants. He slams the hatchet he's holding into the carcass before taking hold of his bleeding nose, gritting his teeth, and yanking the bridge back into place with a visceral snap. More blood gushes from his nostrils to form a red river that runs over his lips and down his chin; it stains his vicious grin along his gums and the small grooves between his teeth with stark red lines.
Eraad's eyes seem to burn like embers when they snap to Emmrich. There's something manic in his look as he strides over like a predator and grabs hold of the mage, shoving him through the door of the adjoining storeroom. He locks it behind them.

"This necklace of yours, Rook, it's very peculiar. I have been curious, I must admit, about a particular magical energy you seem to harness in battle," Emmrich tilts his head. "I can't quite place this enchantment. Is it of qunari origin? I apologize for my ignorance, but many of those texts have yet to be translated, and I've had relatively little opportunity to do any hands-on research."
Rook chuckles, amused and low in his ribs. It shuffles coins across teeth and vice versa against his bare chest, and he steps forward into Emmrich's space. "You want a closer look, little mage?" Rook rumbles. It's difficult for Emmrich to settle his eyes on either his face or the necklace, and so his gaze darts nervously between both. "You want to do some 'hands-on research?'"
