Summary
Bilbo Baggins’ letter was different from all the others Thorin had received at that time.
First, Bilbo actually got his name right. Very little people cared to learn Thorin’s name those days, so most of his packages were sent as “to the blacksmith in the woods”. He used to have a name, a title and a kingdom. And then, after the dragon fire, all was left were ashes, a hunted kingless kingdom and the bitter taste of defeat.
Yet, somehow as if a miracle, there it was: “To Mister Thorin, Blacksmith from Erebor”.

But what shall they do, when a long awaited prophecy finally comes? When the war is sure, when the dragon wakes up, will love be enough?

Summary
The Battle of the Five Armies had been won, the Line of Durin preserved in hard-won life. Contract spent, resident burglar Bilbo Baggins entirely intends to return to the Shire and prove to half of Hobbiton that he is, indeed, still alive.
He has only one problem: Dwalin, Thorin's newly-hailed Captain of the Guard, won't stop following him around for some reason. His next problem emerges when he realises that Dwalin won't let him leave Erebor under any circumstance.

Judge Roberta Field eyed the next case on the docket balefully. She’d known it was coming. As soon as she’d seen it appear in her schedule she’d cursed and debated “breaking a leg”, since it had been too late to have another baby as a way out. She’d convinced herself that was too extreme, however, and lulled herself into a false sense of security that she must be misremembering and it wouldn’t be that bad. So she’d decided to keep working and let it happen. And now it was here.
