Summary
Faraway Town had always been home to Aubrey. She had never known anywhere else; all her friends, enemies, family, everything she had any feelings about at all existed in this town. And that’s just the problem. There’s only so much for her. Only so many things she could do; and at eighteen years of age, it feels like that list is running short.
OR
Aubrey copes with her problems by drinking until she can't think; as much as this reminds her of her mother, it's a learned behaviour. Kim tries her best to help. Nothing goes right.

Summary
The city of Hyrule might seem like a perfect utopia - Hylians live among Gorons, Zora, Rito and Gerudo in harmony, and people of all walks of life can live as they choose. However, recent gang violence is on the rise, and with law enforcement wholly incapable of stamping the problem down, vigilantes begin to take matters into their own hands.
Link is one of these vigilantes — A first year in high school, navigating his education with his destiny.

Summary
When Yang falls, it's quiet. Calm. She did what she had to do and gods, if the others are okay, that's all that matters.
When Ruby and Blake fall, it's a jolt. A cold shock of horror that they didn't quite make it, a splash like the bright green fizz of Penny's Maiden flames.
When Weiss falls, it’s almost with relief. Living or dead, she'll see them again, and it’s almost worth the guilt of seeing Winter's tearstained face as she reaches and doesn't make it.
When Jaune falls, he thinks of his team, he thinks of one more letter knocked off of Team JNPR and of the blood on Crocea Mors' broken blade. He thinks of how he failed them all, and how they all failed each other.
When they wake up, they're at Beacon.

Summary
Yang falls into the void. Then Ruby. Then Blake. Fighting alone against Cinder, the last living member of Team RWBY puts every ounce of Dust and Aura she has into a Time Dilation glyph. But instead of going out in a blaze of glory like she expects, Weiss finds herself on the airship to Beacon, back at the start of everything.
This is a story told from the perspective of everyone else, as they meet Weiss Schnee for the second first time. Weiss's original world and all her old relationships are gone, washed away like footprints on the shore. But that doesn't mean she can't retrace them.

Summary
It's not easy having no friends AND being queer while living in a religious town, so Basil and Aubrey have it rough when they start fake dating to cover for their own identities. However, things might change for both of their lives when some new people turn up at school.
For Sunny and Mari, moving to Faraway from the city is a pretty big change. But perhaps it's one for the better.

"—So…” Daruk coughed. Revali’s sharp gaze snapped over to him. "Turns out he’s the chosen hero of the legends.”
Revali sputtered into a stunned silence.
“Bullshit, that’s impossible!” His feathers rustled as he balked. “He was sent by the Demon King!”
“We know that, but— he has the mark of the goddess on his hand,” Urbosa snapped. “The rest of us saw it. If you don’t believe it, you can see for yourself.”
The Rito didn’t even deign to give the unconscious swordsman a glance.
“Hero or not, we’re not letting him off the hook just like that,” Revali’s voice climbed an octave. “He’s too dangerous— we saw what he’s capable of. We have to kill him while he’s still weakened!”
“We aren’t killing him,” Zelda asserted again. This time, she lifted her eyes. Her voice held a note of cautiousness, but it was still unshakeable.
“If we’re to even hope to defeat the Demon King, we need the hero on our side. We have to take him with us.”
[In which Link was raised as Ganon’s right hand man, but Zelda and the Champions snatch him away.]
