Summary
When Yang falls, it's quiet. Calm. She did what she had to do and gods, if the others are okay, that's all that matters.
When Ruby and Blake fall, it's a jolt. A cold shock of horror that they didn't quite make it, a splash like the bright green fizz of Penny's Maiden flames.
When Weiss falls, it’s almost with relief. Living or dead, she'll see them again, and it’s almost worth the guilt of seeing Winter's tearstained face as she reaches and doesn't make it.
When Jaune falls, he thinks of his team, he thinks of one more letter knocked off of Team JNPR and of the blood on Crocea Mors' broken blade. He thinks of how he failed them all, and how they all failed each other.
When they wake up, they're at Beacon.

Summary
Yang falls into the void. Then Ruby. Then Blake. Fighting alone against Cinder, the last living member of Team RWBY puts every ounce of Dust and Aura she has into a Time Dilation glyph. But instead of going out in a blaze of glory like she expects, Weiss finds herself on the airship to Beacon, back at the start of everything.
This is a story told from the perspective of everyone else, as they meet Weiss Schnee for the second first time. Weiss's original world and all her old relationships are gone, washed away like footprints on the shore. But that doesn't mean she can't retrace them.

For Sunny and Mari, moving to Faraway from the city is a pretty big change. But perhaps it's one for the better.

"—So…” Daruk coughed. Revali’s sharp gaze snapped over to him. "Turns out he’s the chosen hero of the legends.”
Revali sputtered into a stunned silence.
“Bullshit, that’s impossible!” His feathers rustled as he balked. “He was sent by the Demon King!”
“We know that, but— he has the mark of the goddess on his hand,” Urbosa snapped. “The rest of us saw it. If you don’t believe it, you can see for yourself.”
The Rito didn’t even deign to give the unconscious swordsman a glance.
“Hero or not, we’re not letting him off the hook just like that,” Revali’s voice climbed an octave. “He’s too dangerous— we saw what he’s capable of. We have to kill him while he’s still weakened!”
“We aren’t killing him,” Zelda asserted again. This time, she lifted her eyes. Her voice held a note of cautiousness, but it was still unshakeable.
“If we’re to even hope to defeat the Demon King, we need the hero on our side. We have to take him with us.”
[In which Link was raised as Ganon’s right hand man, but Zelda and the Champions snatch him away.]

Summary
A kingdom wracked by oppression and inequality, led by a weak and unpopular king, faces the return of an ancient threat. A Princess of divine blood is fated to face it. There's only one problem: though her father pushes her harder and harder each day, Princess Zelda is unable to awaken the golden light within her, the divine power that will seal Ganon forever. Without it, his victory is assured.
Link is a commoner from a poor family of merchants. While traveling to sell their wares, she is drawn away in the middle of the night to the Lost Woods. There the Master Sword has slept for a thousand years. Many great men have failed to pull it, but the moment Link touches it, the Sword recognizes her -- she is the Hero of Hyrule, destined to stand beside Zelda against Ganon. But how can she, when the Princess refuses to have anything to do with her?
As Princess and Hero work together, enmity becomes friendship, and friendship becomes love. But what is to be done when the desire of Link and Zelda’s hearts conflicts with their duty? When the king's commands threaten to enable Ganon's victory?
They say love is the death of duty. But it is not, and in the end, love may be the salvation of all.

A modern Link finds himself in a situation where courageous is the last thing he'd ever describe himself as until he finds a girl named Zelda who reminds him that courage comes in all different forms.
This is a dark story that will drag you down into the pits before lifting you back up. Enjoy my madness.
