“Honestly Deku, I really couldn’t care less that you have a girlfriend.”
Silence fell upon the room as Izuku gave him a look he couldn’t quite decipher. “...What are you trying to say?” Izuku finally questioned after several moments, carefully.
Shit.
Katsuki has been pining for years after Izuku. He's softened up a bit, bankrolled a hero suit for the nerd, and gives lectures at UA whenever Izuku requests it. So when what he thought was a dream they shared doesn't pan out like he'd planned, life goes in a direction Katsuki never would've expected.
A story filled with heavy angst, self-sabotage, and a whole lot of emotions. The comfort and happy ending exists for everyone, no matter how bleak things may seem at times, but this story does focus heavily on the pain aspect. If you aren't at least a bit of a masochist, this fic is probably not for you. You have been warned.
