    Peter Parker is seventeen and he loses everything he has.

    Aunt May, Ned, MJ, Happy, his vigilante friends…Peter loses all of them. Trying to undo the damage Mysterio caused by leaking his identity, Peter ends up messing up the whole fucking multiverse, because of course he does, because of course nothing can ever go well when Peter Parker is involved. In the end Peter makes one last sacrifice in order to set things right.

    As Peter's very existence becomes the one thing threatening to make his universe collapse, he asks Doctor Strange to cast a new spell, one that will make the world entirely forget about the existence of Peter Parker or Spider-Man. The world does forget him, and without anything left to tether his existence down to this universe without compromising its safety, the world rejects him.

    Dying for a second time and waking up in a watt of green water, Peter is forced to confront the oddities of a new world and inevitably, make it his new home.

    or: Strange's spell isn't a simple as it seems and Peter promptly dies, gets revived by some weird green sludge and finds himself in Gotham

    Stranded in Gotham, fifteen-year-old Peter Parker is broke, sleep-deprived, and just barely holding it together. After a week on the streets, he finds work at a half-decent café near the alleys—the kind of place that doesn’t ask for ID, which suits him fine. By day, he pours coffee. By night, he scours scrap to build a machine that might take him home.

    He doesn’t want attention—not from the Waynes (who have too many family issues), not from Gotham’s masked shadows. But they’ve noticed him anyway. The kid with too-sharp eyes and questions he won’t answer. The one who takes cash without complaint but won’t accept a ride, a warm meal, or even a name.

    Because Peter can handle things himself. He has to. Help always comes with strings, and he’s tangled in enough already. But the truth is clawing its way out—his arrival in Gotham wasn’t an accident. Someone wanted him here.

    Now, caught in a web bigger than his own, Peter will have to decide if surviving is enough—or if he’s willing to let someone in before it’s too late.

    It’s a futile fight against the frantic fear clawing craters up his throat. Adrenaline would be a a stupor Peter would gladly forfeit to, something as buzzing and blissful as a charged sense of urgency, something that devotes itself to a purpose, something that sharpens instinct and ambition into action. Something that wouldn’t assimilate itself into his familiar tolerance of constant aching.

    In this reverie, beyond the haze of hollow emotion, maybe Peter’d finally get off this godforsaken roof.

    He turned, slow, to see the pool. The same pool he’d crawled out of. The glowing green surface rippled faintly from where he’d broken it, light spilling across the walls and ceiling like a warped reflection of water and fire. A sirens call of a photo to a photographer like Peter.

    Fantastic. He’d just gone for a nice relaxing dip in the totally-not-evil vat of glowing ectoplasm. Great going, Parker. If this wasn’t the moment that finally turned him into a real spider-freak, he didn’t know what was.
