Taehyun is an early riser, always has been, but they don’t have a schedule today, so there’s no reason for him to be in Soobin’s room, on Soobin’s bed, looking this worried.
Something’s not right. Soobin’s not awake enough to pinpoint just what it is, exactly, but it’s there, like a painting just slightly tilted. It’s throwing everything off. He tries to shift and he feels it, a tautness stretching underneath his skin that feels odd and unnatural. Strange. Everything is strange, and panic is starting to flutter around the edges of his heart.
“Hyung,” Taehyun says, voice tight. A lump lodges itself in Soobin’s throat. This does not sound promising. “We need to talk.”

“Of course,” Soobin confirms, dimples denting his cheeks. “We’re practically the same age, remember? The honorifics are kind of strange, to be honest. Let’s drop them.”
“I …” Beomgyu bites his lip, contemplating. Where’s the harm? “Okay, Soobin …hyung, if I remember correctly?”
