Need a refresher... Summaries of every arc of Fractured and of every chapter.
This is not a fanfic. This is merely a tool for readers of my fanfic Fractured to refresh themselves if they have stepped away for a while, or (more likely) if I've taken too long between writing chapters.

Summary
There are no perfect endings, but Max is going to try them all, make choice after choice, until she finds one that she can accept. A story exploring a broken Max filled with anxiety, coping with trauma, and trying to hold to the tiniest glimmer of hope through multiple timelines. This is a slow burn cutting between what Max hopes is her final timeline, and her first timelines after being forced to make that fateful choice at the lighthouse.

“No.” I force a smile. “Max and Chloe forever, remember?”
Something shifts in her expression. It’s a subtle change, a slight slackening of the face, a dulling of the eyes, but in that instant I realize the person in my arms isn’t the little girl I remember. Not by a long shot.
“M’sorry,” she whispers.
It’s all the warning I get.

She couldn’t even say it had been impossible, she knew she could’ve done it — she could’ve saved them all. But she picked Chloe. And as horrible, as tragic, as devastating as the choice had been, Max knew it was the only option she would ever choose. Even if she woke up tomorrow and found the date on the calendar was October 7th, she would make the same choice. A thousand times. An infinite amount of times.
To her, to Max, it would always be Chloe. Nothing in the fucking world would ever change that.
Max made it out alive with Chloe at her side, swearing to never use her powers again. But leaving the past behind isn’t as easy as she thought it’d be, especially with the weight of grief and guilt hanging over her shoulders. Luckily, they’re in it together — and nothing will ever tear them apart...Right?

Summary
Max is amazing. She’s kind, and talented, and smart, and pretty, and she sees beauty in everything. She should date someone who can match that. Someone who would like, take her to dates that aren’t always the movie theater or some random restaurant. Someone who would stay up all night watching her comfort movies with her when she’s upset. Someone who would slow-dance with her in empty parking lots at three in the morning. Someone who would send her stupid sappy videos every waking moment and say ‘us?’. Someone who would make her happy.
Instead, she gets a boring, sometimes weird and objectifying boyfriend who watches gore for fun and who’s just slightly better than the average guy, who makes her content.

In Haven Springs, Alex begins to physically and emotionally heal from the events of True Colors.
