Bagi’s expression softens, as much as it can when she’s in a workspace. Fit doesn’t remember much, but he remembers her focus. He remembers admiring it. He thinks he still might, under the miles and miles of scarred flesh and bone.

Chico doesn’t bother with knocking on Arthur’s door. He simply swings it open and announces, quite plainly, “I think I’m being stalked?” And, after a beat of thought, adds on; “Dante said to talk to you.”
Arthur is halfway bent over his desk, a palm resting over a splayed array of open manila folders and blurry pictures.
He takes a deep breath in and exhales it slowly, bowing his head.

That is when Liz says the words that Thiago spent an eternity thinking he would never get to hear.
“Santo Berço is gone. It burned down. The parasite god is dead, and none of us can turn into Luzidios anymore. We’re in the hospital of Carpazinha. The rest of the team made it out, too—everyone, the five of us. We’re still here.”

Or, Thiago survives the explosion in the Cave, despite all the odds.
After decades of torment and being scarred in more ways than one, Thiago wants to put Santo Berço and the Symbol behind him—for the sake of his friends, and for the sake of himself. However, nightmares, shaking hands, and an invasive sense of wrongness make this much more difficult than he anticipates.

Summary
Her own blood is oozing through her fingers. It’s spilling fast, sand through an hourglass. Liz knows the physical side effects of blood loss; she has seen countless corpses bled dry in her time, too. Dizziness to shock to unconsciousness to death. She is all too aware that she is short on time.
“I don’t know what to do,” Joui blurts. She can feel him shaking, see his chest heave as hard as her own. His voice is frantic, tight. “You’re—There’s too much bleeding— I swore I wouldn’t let this happen again—”
“I’m not going to die, Joui,” Liz cuts him off.
Because it’s true. Liz can’t die. She has to take care of the others so they aren’t killed by this wretched work too, and she can’t do that if she’s dead herself.
So Liz won’t die. She can make sure of that.
First step: stop the bleeding.

Or, after chasing down and killing the "creature" that was attacking the Farmer's cows, Liz and the rest of the team are attacked in turn. This time, things take an unexpected turn.
