He can only purchase to view others having what he craves for and it does not get easier the longer he looks.
“Sir.” She calls to him again when his steps stop where they can progress no further and he wonders what to do.
The glass is still in his hand, half empty, but Elio’s other hand rises almost without the need of his will. It rises and reaches out to the sweaty face of Iliorane and she presses a side of it into his palm. He feels it. The heat of her dark skin, the slickness of her perspiration, the muscles that move with her smile, preciously crinkling the corners of her dazed eyes.
