“Hang on in there a little longer, Charlie.” McCullum said to the air. He knew what he had to do. Knew exactly how he could help Charlie, or at least, knew someone who could. He huffed out a breath, exhaustion and frustration marred his lined brow into something that resembled anger, but it was nothing like that at all.
The scar at his throat itched, but McCullum refused to reach up and scratch it.
It was time, he knew, to visit that lingering shade of grey.

It has been almost a year, perhaps longer, since Geoffrey McCullum, commander of the Guard of Priwen had seen the leech that let him live. Almost a year since he had to face those thoughts and that reality, and the niggling sensation that he desperately wanted to leave well alone. It was wrong on so many levels. The things that he wanted. The dreams he was having. He wanted to deny it. Deny it all. Continued to deny it all.
But, with the threat to the Guard too great, he had to do something. He couldn't risk it. Couldn't risk them, even if that meant facing some difficult, impossible, truths. He was not more important than the Guard. And he needed to do something to stop his men from being turned into monsters.

Summary
“Hello General Mahamatra.”
Cyno laughs and it’s louder than usual. Tighnari blinks and Cyno’s face is hovering over his, cheeks flushed and eyes sparkling. Cyno’s breath smells sickly-sweet, like Zaytun peach liqueur.
“Tighnari.”
Cyno says his name in a soft sigh and Tighnari swallows back the sudden wave of want that hits him. He feels Cyno’s rough hand and callused fingertips slip between his own as he pulls Tighnari up into a sitting position on the floor.
They’ve been dancing around something for the past few weeks, he and Cyno.
How the Amurta gardens of Pardis Dhyai became much more than a place for research for Tighnari, essential to the growth of his and Cyno's relationship.

Summary
“I think I’m dying.”
Hannibal blinks, feeling blindsided, before a surge of relentless anger floods every corner of his body. Will stares with that same vacant mask he’s built, giving nothing away.
“You are not dying.” He replies, sure as can be. Of course, Will isn’t dying. Ridiculous boy, how could he—
“Maybe I should.”
And Hannibal freezes.
Blood, bones, and tar all turn to ice. His spine straightens without his permission and Hannibal leans back, fixing his unmoving boy with a blank stare that reflects a calmness that he no longer feels.
Will drops his eyes, clenches his hands into fists, then releases. “Maybe I should just let whatever this is…” He swallows hard. “Kill me.”
_________________Will calls Hannibal in a panic after he sleepwalks and ends up in the woods. Hannibal finds him and gets him home safely, but there are more than just nightmares and exhaustion crawling around in Will's mind now, and Hannibal begins to realize that perhaps he pushed too far.
